I had the pleasure of assisting on two fashion shoots at the end of 2015.
The first was for a new clothing collection for Roger David.

Unfortunately this was a poorly organised shoot (not at the fault of Roger David but rather who they hired). We were in a (beautiful) remote location with not a toilet around let alone a cafe, which wouldn't have been a problem if it wasn't for that fact that catering for about 10 people was little more than 2 packets of salt and vinegar chips and no water. But we were saved by the second unprofessional mistake as we were kicked off location for not having a permit (at about 2pm) with only about three or four outfits done (out of 8).

I was the 2nd Assistant for this shoot and the 1st assistant showed me the ropes, and as I had nothing to compare the experience too he also explained everything that was going wrong with the shoot and how it was the worst shoot he's ever been on. I didn't actually realise how badly it was going until these things were pointed out, I was mostly struggling with the heat and being on the edge of a cliff on a very windy day...

It may not have been the perfect shoot but it was an experience I'm so grateful to have had and it was definitely eye-opening.
